Quick connector for liquid nitrogen
Application
CryoQCon is a quick connector that can be operated without tools for disconnecting and connecting flexible supply lines under nitrogen refrigeration. A safety-optimised 2-lever arm version is available especially for lines with liquid nitrogen. Conventional liquid nitrogen connections with a standard connector and transfer hose can be retrofitted with CryoQCon.
Structure
Description
The quick connector consists of a male part with a G3/8’ external connection fitting for variable adaptation to existing systems (e.g. storage tank). The female part with G3/8’ internal connection fitting, consisting of the coupling body, lever arms, pull rings and internal seal, is placed over the male part and the coupling is closed by pressing the lever arms together. The lever arms are secured with safety split pins. The connector can be opened even when cold by pulling up the lever arms via the pull rings while wearing cold protection gloves.
