While handling liquid nitrogen you have to carry face and hand protection!
Because of the boiling temperature of -196 °C there exists the danger of frost-bite during transfer of liquid nitrogen and handling of stored samples. If the temperature of the skin’s surface falls below 0 °C, it is possible the skin freezes solid to any cold object and can only be thawed with warm water. Tissue damage, similar to the violation of burning, is the result. The eyes are particularly endangered.
CryoProtect is the complete protective equipment in association with liquid nitrogen. Cryo Protect consists of gloves, apron, protective glasses and face protection.
